Join RootLinks, ReFarm and the CBE JU at the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026 for an interactive workshop exploring how primary producers can strengthen their role in circular bio-based value chains and nature-positive production systems.

RootLinks will co-host a participatory workshop at the Global Bioeconomy Summit (GBS) 2026 in Dublin, bringing together stakeholders from across the bioeconomy to discuss how primary producers can create greater value within circular bio-based value chains and nature-positive systems.

The workshop, titled “Empowering Primary Producers: Creating Value through Circular Bio-based Value Chains and Nature-Positive Systems”, is organised jointly by RootLinks, ReFarm and the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU). Taking place on 20 October 2026 from 11:15 to 12:45 at The Convention Centre Dublin (CDD), the session will provide a collaborative space for exchanging experiences, comparing approaches and identifying practical actions that can support farmers, foresters and other primary producers across Europe.

The workshop will begin with two practical reference points: insights from the CBE JU Working Group on Primary Producers Action Plan and ReFarm’s work on nature-positive farming solutions. Participants will then engage in a structured discussion designed to explore opportunities and challenges across five key themes:

  • Business development
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Advisory services
  • Organisational cooperation
  • Policy, regulation and finance

The session aims to encourage dialogue between participants from different countries, regions and sectors. Through this exchange, attendees will explore successful approaches, identify common barriers and develop a shared understanding of how primary producers can play a stronger role in the transition towards a sustainable and circular bioeconomy.

The workshop forms part of the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2026, the world’s leading international forum dedicated to advancing sustainable bio-based innovation. Hosted in Dublin during Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Summit brings together policymakers, researchers, industry representatives, investors and civil society organisations from around the world to shape the future of the bioeconomy.

Registration is open until 30 September 2026. Register here.
