RootLinks is launching its training series with an introductory online session on the circular bio-based economy, tailored to fishers, aquaculture and algae producers, seafood businesses, advisors, cooperatives and SMEs seeking to explore new opportunities in sustainable blue value chains.
Registration is now open for the first training session in the RootLinks capacity-building programme, Introduction to the Circular Bio-based Economy, taking place online on 6 October 2026 from 14:00 to 15:30 CET.
Designed as a beginner-friendly introduction for stakeholders across the blue economy, the session will help participants understand the principles of the circular bio-based economy and explore how they can be applied in practice within aquatic and coastal value chains. The training is particularly relevant for fishers, aquaculture and algae producers, seafood processors, cooperatives, producer organisations, advisors, SMEs and other professionals interested in bio-based innovation.
Participants will gain insights into:
- The fundamentals of the circular bio-based economy and its relevance for the blue sector.
- Emerging market opportunities and development trends.
- European policy priorities supporting the bioeconomy transition.
- Funding opportunities and priority sectors for investment and innovation.
