About

How we connect and support Primary Producers

At the core of RootLinks is the Working Group on Primary Producers (WGPP), established under the CBE JU. It brings together representatives from agriculture, forestry, and the blue bioeconomy to co-create an Action Plan that reflects producers’ priorities.

Objectives

We support the co-creation and implementation of an Action Plan with two main goals:

Strengthen engagement

Enhance the role of PPs by supporting their active and rewarding participation in CBE JU projects and across circular bio-based value chains, while reinforcing their skills in networking and collaboration.

Approach

We support primary producers by boosting awareness, cooperation, networking, capacity building, and business models.

Horizontal actions

Creating frameworks for collaboration

RootLinks supports the Working Group on Primary Producers by setting up its structure to ensure smooth operations, developing a stakeholder engagement strategy with tailored formats to foster inclusion, and strengthening networking across sectors and regions.

Sector-specific actions

Addressing the distinct needs of each sector

Sector-level actions focus on the specific needs of agriculture, forestry, and the blue bioeconomy. They tackle sector-specific challenges, provide tailored solutions, and enable producers in each sector to fully participate in and benefit from circular bio-based value chains.
