RootLinks will be present at Italy’s leading international exhibition dedicated to aquaculture, sustainable fisheries, and algae cultivation.

RootLinks will take part in AquaFarm, one of Europe’s most important events and the only international exhibition in Italy fully dedicated to aquaculture, shellfish farming, algae cultivation, and the sustainable fishing industry.

Hosted at Pordenone Fiere, AquaFarm brings together the full production and commercial value chain of aquaculture, a sector that continues to be among the fastest-growing food production activities worldwide. The event also places strong emphasis on the protection of marine ecosystems, promoting low-impact fishing practices and sustainable use of marine resources.

A key focus of the exhibition is the future role of microalgae and algaculture, highlighting innovation in cultivation, processing, and applications, alongside research and industrial development. Over the two days, AquaFarm serves as a meeting point not only for operators and companies, but also for leading voices in research and innovation through conferences and thematic debates.

RootLinks presence

RootLinks will be represented by Dr Stefano Lancerotto (AquaBioTech Group), who will attend the event to engage directly with Italian and European fish farmers and fishers. During AquaFarm, RootLinks will connect with sector stakeholders, share information about ongoing initiatives, and invite participants to engage further with RootLinks activities, including upcoming Working Group discussions and surveys supporting collective action and sector insights.

We look forward to contributing to exchanges at AquaFarm 2026 and strengthening connections with practitioners and innovators shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture and fisheries in Europe!
