Meet algae producers, buyers, processors and technology providers at an evening of speed networking and matchmaking during AlgaEurope 2026.
Join RootLinks at AlgaEurope 2026 in Malta for an evening matchmaking and networking event for the European algae sector. It takes place on Thursday 10 December 2026, from 19:00 to 21:00, at the Hilton Malta alongside AlgaEurope. The event is co-organised by RootLinks partners s.Pro sustainable projects and AquaBioTech Group.
The event brings together people from across the micro- and macroalgae value chains: producers, buyers, processors, and technology and service providers. The aim is simple: help you meet the right people, find new uses and markets for algae biomass and side streams, and turn conversations into partnerships, commercial relationships and joint projects.
What to expect
- A short introduction to RootLinks and its Working Group on Primary Producers
- Facilitated speed networking sessions, set up to match supply with demand
- Informal networking over food and drinks
Who should attend
- Algae producers looking for buyers, partners or new uses for their biomass
- Buyers and processors looking for reliable supply
- Technology and service providers working with algae value chains
- Clusters, advisors, researchers and other actors supporting the sector
This is the first in a series of RootLinks matchmaking events connecting aquaculture and fisheries producers, including algae producers, with the wider circular bio-based economy.
