Action Plan

our Actions to empower primary producers

Primary producers are essential to Europe’s circular bioeconomy – not only as suppliers of biomass, but also as business partners, innovators and users of circular bio-based solutions. This WGPP Action Plan sets out eight concrete actions to help farmers, forest owners and managers, fishers and aquaculture producers participate in and benefit from circular bio-based value chains. Developed by the CBE JU Working Group on Primary Producers (WGPP) through a Europe-wide co-creation process, with support from the RootLinks project, the Action Plan combines:

  • six sector-specific actions for agriculture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture;
  • two horizontal actions that address common challenges across sectors.

Together, the actions build on existing initiatives, strengthen cooperation with industry and other value-chain actors, and provide practical tools, networks, business approaches and opportunities for knowledge exchange that foster circular bioeconomy uptake beyond the RootLinks project.

Implementing these actions requires collaboration with stakeholders across Europe. By contributing, you can share your expertise, build new partnerships and explore business opportunities in the circular bioeconomy. Interested? Find out how you can get involved.
