The Nordic Testbed Network Roadshow 2026 brought together key actors from across the Nordic–Baltic region to exchange knowledge on aquaculture innovation, pilot infrastructure, and future collaboration.

On May 26th, RootLinks was presented at the first Nordic Testbed Network Roadshow 2026, contributing to discussions on innovation, collaboration, and future development in the Nordic–Baltic blue economy.

The event, hosted by Klaipėda Science and Technology Park, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, technology providers, aquaculture companies, and innovation organisations. Participants explored a wide range of topics, including recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), pilot and testing infrastructure, applied aquaculture research, and opportunities for cross-regional collaboration.

During the event, Freya Robinson (SPro) introduced the RootLinks Working Group activities, highlighting ongoing efforts and upcoming actions designed to support primary producers and strengthen regional collaboration within the blue economy. The presentation focused on RootLinks’ role as a platform for fostering knowledge exchange, systems thinking, and practical engagement across aquatic and bio-based sectors.

The Roadshow facilitated insightful discussions and hands-on exchanges between participants, helping to identify shared challenges and opportunities while building connections across the Nordic-Baltic innovation ecosystem.

RootLinks’ participation in the event represents another important step in promoting collaborative approaches to sustainability, innovation, and resilience in aquaculture and the wider bioeconomy.
