European Forum on the Forest-Based Bioeconomy
Knowledge and practical solutions from forestry research and innovation projects do not always reach those who could benefit from them. This makes it harder for forestry stakeholders in Europe to learn from each other and apply successful approaches elsewhere, even when they face similar challenges.
F2 will establish a European forum that brings together key actors across forest-based value chains to share knowledge, experiences and proven approaches across countries.
What we want to achieve
Strengthen long-term cooperation and knowledge exchange across Europe to support more resilient forest-based bioeconomy value chains.
What we will deliver
An annual forum and related knowledge exchange activities that build on business cases, tools and resources from F1 and provide a framework for continued cooperation beyond the RootLinks project.
What this can change
Forestry stakeholders can access proven solutions faster, coordinate their activities more effectively and exchange experiences on regional and national policies. This can improve climate adaptation and risk planning, strengthen forest-based value chains and create new income opportunities from underused forest resources.
