From Individual Producers to Collective Power
For many primary producers, limited time, staff, resources and biomass volumes can restrict access to markets, investment and new circular bio-based value chains. Cooperatives, associations, clusters and other forms of collective organisation can help producers pool resources, share knowledge and achieve the scale needed to pursue opportunities that would be difficult to realise individually.
H2 will explore and test models for joint organisation that work in different sectors and regions, including approaches that connect actors across sectors.
What we want to achieve
Improve primary producers’ bargaining power and access to new markets in the circular bioeconomy through stronger collective action and cross-sector and multi-actor cooperation.
What we will deliver
A toolkit with guidance on cooperation models that can be adapted and replicated in different sectors and regions.
What this can change
Primary producers and their organisations will gain the knowledge to choose and adapt cooperation models to their needs, build partnerships and strengthen their position in value chains through better coordination and use of biomass resources.
