The International Extension Knowledge Exchange 2026 will bring together researchers, advisors, science communicators and other professionals to explore how research can be translated into real-world impact through effective communication, stakeholder engagement and international cooperation.
The International Extension Knowledge Exchange (IEKE) 2026 will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 13 to 18 December 2026.
Organised within the framework of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), the event is a global initiative designed to advance how universities, advisors and partners translate research into tangible benefits for communities and society.
The programme will bring together graduate students, researchers, extension professionals, science communicators and private-sector representatives to exchange experiences and explore approaches to science communication, stakeholder engagement and knowledge exchange. Participants will also discuss co-innovation frameworks, outreach practices and strategies for building lasting international partnerships.
Through presentations, networking activities and field visits, the event will create opportunities to connect with professionals working at the interface between research and practice, while fostering dialogue on how complex knowledge can be communicated effectively to diverse audiences.
If you are an advisor, researcher, producer organisation representative, cluster manager, science communicator or other professional supporting knowledge exchange and collaboration, IEKE 2026 offers an opportunity to gain new perspectives, expand your international network and engage with peers working to strengthen the impact of research and innovation.
