our Actions to empower primary producers
The RootLinks Action Plan responds to a critical challenge in Europe’s transition to a circular bioeconomy: ensuring that primary producers (PP), including agrimakers, acquanauts and foresters, can meaningfully participate in, and benefit from, emerging circular bio-based value chains.
Developed through a structured, Europe-wide cocreation process led by the CBE JU Working Group on Primary Producers and supported by RootLinks, the Action Plan translates strategic objectives into concrete, implementable measures.
It combines horizontal and sector-specific actions designed to strengthen awareness, cooperation, skills, business models and widening participation, ensuring that the economic, social and environmental benefits of circular bio-based innovations are shared fairly and sustainably across Europe’s primary sectors.
